Alfredo Vidaurre Scholarship Announced
The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to announce that the Montes Scholarship, announced for the first time in 2007, has been renamed the Alfredo Vidaurre Montes Wine Scholarship, in honour of Alfredo Vidaurre, co-founder, partner and former director of Montes, who died in February this year. This generous annual scholarship, consisting of a US$ 10,000 travel bursary, will enable the winner to travel to Chile, to visit Montes and other premium wine producers in the region, and to further his or her knowledge about this diverse and viticulturally exciting country. The winning candidate may be from anywhere in the world and will be selected by an essay on the subject of Chile and its wines.
